Module Overview

New Venture Creation

This module will cover a diverse range of disciplines as it highlights the universal needs of small enterprises. It will take theories from a broad spectrum of academics and apply them to the practical realities of new and emerging companies. The course is firmly focused on providing the knowledge and developing the skills required to establish a business in Ireland.

The main thrust of the module is to develop in the student an understanding of the total skill and knowledge base requirements that are necessitated when establishing one’s own enterprise. This will integrate with their overall marketing studies to educate them in their learning of the particular needs of small businesses.

This module is directed towards those who wish to learn about, or have considered, the establishment of a new venture in Ireland. It is designed to promote the areas of entrepreneurship, and to communicate clearly the tools and techniques that would assist in the formation of a business, and reduce the risk of failure in a start-up situation.
