To gain a systematic understanding of a wide range of current and state-of-the-art transmission and switching technologies, evolving communication protocols, and their applications; to apply advanced IP addressing techniques & routing table population for efficiency and assess the impact on technologies; to understand the issues and apply solutions to hardware redundancy in a switched network; to be able to design, implement and manage secure VLANs and WANs; to critically evaluate the business and financial impact of these technologies.
