This module will provide students with the opportunity to develop problem solving strategies in physics including conceptual and worked examples and students will be encouraged to integrate conceptual and quantitative exercises.

Numeric and symbolic problems will be drawn from introductory physics in the following areas:
Mechanics
Heat and thermodynamics
Electricity and Magnetism
Wavemotion and Sound
Geometrical and physical Optics
Nuclear and Radiation Physics
This module will be delivered as a series of tutorials with students working in groups. Homework exercises will be set.
