Year 3 Computing Project
Project Definition
The objective of the project is to enable the student produce and demonstrate an individual and unique piece of work incorporating key aspects of the programme. Project ideas will focus across the range of modules the student has studied over the past 3 years. Real world clients and real world scenarios may be used for project ideas. Students will develop and enhance many skills by successfully completing the project e.g. project management, problem solving, teamwork and communications.
Project Process
More detail on the project process is contained within the Project Booklet available from the programme co-ordinator. Projects are managed by the project team. Typically projects go through a process of idea generation and elaboration; scope definition, scope agreement. A detailed project schedule will be published identifying dates for project milestones and deliverables. Each student must prepare and submit an individual project plan which must be agreed and signed off by their supervisor. Project deliverables typically include: Detailed Project Proposal, Project Plan, Literature Review/Technology assessment, Analysis, Design, Development, Final Report, Project Presentation.
