Community Arts

The purpose of this module is to introduce the student to the area of community arts as an important aspect of Irish cultural life. The module will assist the learner in two main ways. Firstly, it will present the theory underpinning the role of community arts in addressing social, cultural and environmental issues. Secondly, it will provide the student with an opportunity to sample the core components of community arts (visual arts, theatre, dance and music), and to develop their creative facilitation skills.
