The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the work of key sociological theorists and in particular to examine how these thinkers address power and inequality, concepts which have a critical baring on Community and Youth Work issues. Students will explore and debate these ideas and assess their relevance for understanding Community and Youth Work in Ireland today.
