Advocacy and Community Organisation

This module will introduce learners to the basic components of public policy advocacy and community organisation. Learners will explore theories and concepts which inform advocacy practice and develop the skills required for effective advocacy. The role of public policy advocacy as a mechanism to influence policy will be explored in the context of current social, economic and political structures.
