The purpose of this module is to build a comprehensive understanding of sport participation policies and practices in Ireland and other countries. The course assesses current participation levels in Ireland and worldwide in various demographic groups and examines best practice for increasing these numbers. The module will provide a detailed exploration of the key issues in sports participation which are PE delivery, the health agenda and social inclusion.
