This module will be based on practical experience. It is intended that this practical module will cover practical and laboratory based topics from the Exercise Physiology, Physical Activity and Health, and the Chemical Science theoretical modules. In all practical sessions, students will be encouraged to develop their ability to integrate the use of various techniques in order to solve a prescribed scientific problem or apply coaching principles to exercise prescription. The concept of team-work, communication, good laboratory practice and the need for both validation and statistical evaluation of results will be emphasized throughout.
