Module Overview

Structural Design 4

This course builds upon the earlier study of Structural Analysis and Design, and in particular on the module Structural Design 1

This module covers:

  • The design of steelwork connections and truss members
  • Plastic Design of statically indeterminate beams and rectangular portal frames

The design of more complex reinforced concrete elements  including continuous beams, columns and retaining walls
