Technical Design Dissertation: Thesis research

The Technical Design Dissertation module involves the production of a comprehensive technical dissertation in support of and reinforcing the BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology, Technical Design Studio - Thesis module. 

This module provides an environment for detailed analysis and evaluation of the current and emerging issues that arise in the building life cycle through the application of the knowledge and skills gained in the preceding 7 semesters of the programme. 

The module aims to develop the learner’s ability to engage in structured research and to produce a technical dissertation in support of and reinforcing their architectural technology dissertation. Each student determines their area of research based on their personal interests, discussions with studio lecturers and supervisors, and consideration of its relevance, motivation and feasibility.
