TU Dublin is hosting Revealing Grangegorman, an exciting programme of events for the community to enjoy and see the extensive transformation the University is bringing to Dublin 7. The Photonics Research Centre from the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering will host Fibre Optics and Applications: from the ocean floor to Space on Thursday, 27 June, from 11am to 12pm. 

A public lecture introducing the concept and operating principle of optical fibre sensors and examples of applications. Participants will also complete a small art project and learn about light polarisation.
