Micro-credentials

Large, high quality

What are Micro-credentials?

Micro-credentials, also referred to as microcreds, are short, flexible, university accredited courses designed to help you develop new skills and advance your career. Developed in collaboration with industry, micro-credentials focus on practical in-demand skills that can be applied immediately in the workplace.

Designed to fit around work and personal commitments, micro-credentials offer flexible learning in smaller, manageable units - making it easier to upskill, reskill or explore a new area of interest at your own pace. Micro-credential courses typically award between 5 and 30 ECTS.

What You Pay

TU Dublin is pleased to offer an 80% fee subsidy for 10 micro-credential courses through the Higher Education Authority (HEA) Micro-credential Course Learner Fee Subsidy Initiative 2026. Eligible applicants receive an 80% subsidy towards course fees. The fee displayed for each course is the final fee payable by the student and already includes the 80% subsidy.
