Supplemental Exams
Update 24.07.26
The supplemental exam timetables are now available on the TU Dublin website here.
Please note that minor amendments to the timetable may occur. If you are scheduled to sit a supplemental exam, we recommend checking the timetable regularly to ensure you have the most up-to-date information.
Students who are required to repeat any aspect of a module during the supplemental examination period will be charged a €100 repeat fee. This fee will be applied to eligible student records in early August, and an email containing payment instructions will be issued. Students who have deferred exams are considered a first attempt will not be charged a fee.
Please note that students who need to sit a supplemental exam do not need to register.
Any students who have not completed registrations for the 2025/26 academic year should contact Registrations as soon as possible. The contact information for Registrations is available here. Students will need to have a registration record for 2025/26 to take supplemental exams.
Outstanding Fees and Exam Results
Students with outstanding tuition or other university fees will experience restrictions on their student accounts. These may include:
- Delayed release of examination results in the coming days.
- Inability to progress to the next stage or year of study.
- Withholding of graduation eligibility or award conferral.
- Suspension of access to Brightspace and other university services until the outstanding balance has been paid.
Students are encouraged to settle any outstanding fees as soon as possible to avoid these restrictions.
Payments can be made through the Student Portal.

The University has set up a dedicated fees helpline at 01 220 6000, available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, to provide support and assistance to students.
