This module focuses on providing the knowledge and the interrelated skills required to commercially develop a new food/beverage business product and idea from concept to fruition. This module aims to develop a systematic understanding and awareness of the issues, tools and techniques involved in developing a new sustainable food/beverage product.

Level 8 Honours degree in a related discipline or equivalent qualification.

This module focuses on providing the knowledge and the interrelated skills required to commercially develop a new food/beverage business product and idea from concept to fruition. This module aims to develop a systematic understanding and awareness of the issues, tools and techniques involved in developing a new sustainable food/ beverage product.

The module content consists of strategy for a business and business start-up in terms of marketing, operations and finance. Design thinking, risk assessment and legal factors are also considered. Also promotion of the brand and sustainability are also considered. 

2 hours contact per week plus self-directed learning. Timetable Day: Monday 10am-12pm.
