Management Accounting

Accounting is concerned with the management of finance, provision and interpretation of accounting information requirements at seed, product and market development phases of entrepreneurship.

The aim of this module is to develop the knowledge and skills of participants to critically evaluate and competently utilise accounting information at the seed, product and market development stages of entrepreneurship.

Participants will be exposed to both formal lectures and supplied and directed readings to introduce and develop the various topics. The application of the concepts and the development of critical abilities will be achieved by casework, some of which will be performed in groups, while others will be analysed and presented by individual participants.

Self-directed learning will be promoted and encouraged.
