The Environment Services and Materials 1 module introduces the learner to the principles of environmental design and the relationship between climate, ecology, landscape, hydrology and the built environment as embodied through low energy and bioclimatic design. It provides the learner with the necessary knowledge and understanding of environment to inform the development of Architectural Design Studio projects. The module introduces the learner to the broader understanding of the principles of low energy servicing and to the ecology of building materials.
