Transport Layer and Access control Lists
Transport layer protocols, TCP and UDP, port numbers. Access control lists to secure the network using the network and transport layer.
Virtual Private Networks
Revision of NAT. Use of VPNs using layer 2 or layer 3 VPNs. IP version 6
Secure Serial links
PPP, PAP and CHAP. Introduction to Hash functions and encryption schemes
Broadband Networks
Information theory revision. PAM and QAM. ADSL and Cable modem systems.
