Module Overview

The Liberty 2

For TU985 year 3, this module involves the production of a newspaper and website, The Liberty, aimed at readers in the south-west and west inner city, a locality of social deprivation, change, and challenges. Incorporating the journalism skills and social knowledge acquired in prior studies, it allows students to move their journalism to a level where professional norms and sensitivity to the risks and rewards of actual publication are fully realised.  For most learners it will be the second module of its kind, and they will pursue different tasks.
