Mathematics of fractions, ratios, percentages; Units of measurement (S.I. units) and scientific notation; Calculating concentrations and dilutions; Using a scientific calculator.
Statistics and Measurement
Determination of Accuracy/Precision, Percentage Error; Probability, normal distributions; Frequency tables and histograms; The mean, mode, median, range, standard deviation, coefficient of variation.
Co-ordinate Geometry
Cartesion co-ordinates; Distance between two points; Slope of a line; Equation of a line; Parallel and perpendicular lines.
Algebra
Fundamental algebraic operations and rules of algebra; Solving linear equations; Rearranging formulae in terms of a different variable.
