Product Portfolio Management

To be successful, product leaders should drive a balanced portfolio of products that reflect the mission, strategy and desired state the organisation wishes to create.

Product Management must respond to changing market conditions, customer needs, and emerging technologies when building products. This module presents principles and patterns of product management excellence to help create winning experiences to delight customers and succeed in the market.

Through case studies, participants will learn how successful product managers can re-think discovery, delivery and portfolio management in the pursuit of radically improved performance, accelerating the rate of innovation and optimizing the portfolio. High performance product-centric organisations continuously move initiatives through product development lifecycles from Explore to Retire. Using the same strategy, practices and processes across the entire portfolio will result in negative outcomes and results.

The module aims to build participants’ capability to continuously seek out new business models, products and services to ensure the future relevance, growth and evolution of the business.
