Definition of the entrepreneur, the importance of the small business sector in Ireland, obstacles to enterprise development, industrial policy past & present in the sector, the entrepreneurial environment.
The Nature of the Entrepreneur
Profile, motives, personality traits, qualities and characteristics, types, cultural factors and tasks facing the entrepreneur.
The Idea and Planning Stage
Sources of new ideas, looking for competitive advantage, research & planning, feasibility studies, drafting the business plan, registration of the legal form of the business
Gathering resources and support of the business
Sources of finance, short-medium-long, EU and government support infrastructure and how to access, private finance, bank-seed-VC, financial planning, networking
Development of the Enterprise
Strategies for growth, franchising, technology transfer, joint ventures, sustaining growth, managing pace of growth, cash flow, role of principle through phases of growth.
Content Modification
