Module Overview

Quantitative Methods for Dispensing

This module teaches the learner how to perform numerical calculations in geometrical and ophthalmic and physical optics. The module will prepare students to solve numerical problems at an advanced level in the following; refracting surfaces in thin and thick lenses including, refraction on the model eyes, spectacle lenses and vision corrections. The module will also prepare the student to perform calculations related to light wave theory.
