Module Overview

Corp Gov,Ethics & Responsibility

This module provides the learner with an opportunity to develop expert knowledge on the role of sustainability in project management. There is a strong focue on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by the UN General Assembly in 2015. The aim of the 17 SDG’s is to secure a sustainable, peaceful, prosperous and equitable life on earth for now and in the future. Learners are encouraged to broaden their worldviews by engaging critically with the 17 SDGs which encompass (i) Human Rights (ii) Equal Opportunity (iii) Human Potential (iv) Environment and (v) Organisations. While acknowledging the interconnectedness of all goals, the module will focus specifically on the targets and policies emerging from the SDG framework which are particularly salient to project environments. The learners will engage in developing their own authentic leadership, communications skills and competencies which can then be effectively used in communication focused on transformative sustainability change and partnership building with internal and external stakeholders.

The module will promote self-directed learning through individual assignments while also fostering group-based learning through team-based activity.
