The aim of this module is to develop students' research and analytical skills pertaining to social care and to develop skills to complete research related to social care. This module will further enhance the student’s knowledge of the main research methodologies commonly utilised within the social care environment. It will help students to plan a research project of their choice and to become reflective and independent researchers and to present their findings in the form of a research project. In order to progress, all components of module assessment must be passed by students – failure to successfully to complete any component will require repeat assessment/exam.

Critically examine and analyse the research topic and present a rational, cogent and cohesive argument through your literature review and research findings
Research Project Writing & Referencing
Use advanced academic writing skills, citation and referencing techniques to present their findings in a research project.
