Module Overview

Collaboration & Teamwork in Social care

The purpose of this module is to equip learners with an understanding of the role of teams in providing care to vulnerable service users. Students will recognise the impact of collaboration on effective work with internal and external stakeholders. The module is intended to contribute towards student preparation for entering social care teams with an appropriate understanding of team roles and how to contribute to dynamic team functioning. Concepts of leadership and power will be explored with an emphasis on power dynamics between professionals and services users.
