Health Risk Assessment

Present students with a unique opportunity of applying the Health Risk Assessment concept to a specific population demographic under examination. The purpose is to allow students to select and rank in order of importance the principle health risks applicable to a specific region in Ireland. The module is aimed at Year 4 EH students who have just completed a seven month professional placement module in public and private sectors and will enable students to critically evaluate Environmental Health risks of increasing importance Students will have a series of lectures, seminars and tutorials aimed at providing evidence based information that will assist decision makers in policy formulation.

Lectures, workshops and seminars presented by EHAI will augment syllabus material/ Tutorials. Group format function of webcourses fully utilised re Journal/ blog activity. All interaction will be tracked and assessed
