Present students with a unique opportunity of applying the Health Risk Assessment concept to a specific population demographic under examination. The purpose is to allow students to select and rank in order of importance the principle health risks applicable to a specific region in Ireland. The module is aimed at Year 4 EH students who have just completed a seven month professional placement module in public and private sectors and will enable students to critically evaluate Environmental Health risks of increasing importance Students will have a series of lectures, seminars and tutorials aimed at providing evidence based information that will assist decision makers in policy formulation.
