This module involves a period of planned work experience in a relevant industry or research establishment for third year students of the BSc in Pharmaceutical Health Care Programme (TU875). It includes the area of Health and Safety Management to prepare the students for their work placement within the pharmaceutical industry regarding their health and safety roles and responsibilities.

- Tutorials on "Introduction to Industrial Placement".
- Searching suitable industry or research establishment.

Guidelines for completion of industrial placement forms.
- Completion of initial training agreement
- Completion of mid-placement review and documentation
- Completion of final review appraisal and documentation

The module will include workshops, lectures, tutorials and presentations to prepare students for an approved industrial placement. Implementation of risk management strategies will develop the student's critical thinking as risk evaluation involves prioritisation of control measures. The student will engage in self-directed learning and experiential on-the-job learning in a relevant industry or research establishment.
