Safety Management and Emergency Planning

The course aims at providing practical skills for Systems Management  and Emergency planning with emphasis on problem solving approaches.for industrial facility. This module will give the student an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of safety management systems and their application within the workplace setting. To establish health and safety systems and address integrated synthesis on selected issues to reduce economic costs cosidering the ALARP principle.  This module amalgamates previous learning in occupational safety and health from levels 2 and 3 and furthers the knowledge base of safety management systems along with their application and maintenance. To devise control strategies to prevent and mitigate large scale incidents. Introduce students to Emergency Planning and Disaster Management at a local and national level. Familiarise students with the National Government Emergency Plan . Outline various methodologies and techniques used in Emergency Planning and Disaster Management.
