Module Overview

Process Analytical Technology

Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) is a mechanism to design, analyse and control pharmaceutical manufacturing processes through timely measurement of the critical process parameters (CPP) which impact the critical quality attributes (CQA) of the materials.

This module aims to provide a starting point for implementing process analytical techniques in process monitoring applications and/or as part of a total quality management system within pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry to accelerate health & wellbeing product development through sustainable manufacturing approach. Students will research instruments used in industry across in-line, on-line, at-line and off-line. This module also aims to develop team working skills through performance and assessment of group project in team format.
