Industrial Placement Brewing and Distilling

Module Description

A period of planned work experience in a brewing or distilling related enterprise. Placement duration is 12 weeks full time (minimum 32 h per week equivalent) 


Module Aims

To expose the student to the organisation and management of an industrial brewery or distillery

To provide the student with an opportunity to apply in an industrial setting the skills, understanding and concepts studied in the course curriculum

To develop in students the ability to integrate different subject areas in production

To allow students to benefit from the skills/expertise of industry professionals related to brewing and distilling

To allow students to enhance their professional development and graduate attributes

To develop employability skills, including initially seeking employment
