The work experience component is a major element for students in their final year of the BA (Hons). This mandatory module is weighted at 30 credits overall. A total of 20 credits will be allocated to the industry-based segment of the placement, while the remaining 10 credits will be attributed to an additional development module to aid students for the placement in the areas of preparation, reflection, and reporting. The component aims to offer the student the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the course in an industrial workplace setting. It aims to facilitate the student in developing the practical competencies and communication skills necessary to function as an effective team member in the digital work environment.
Work as part of the digital marketing team for a partner organisation on a comprehensive digital marketing strategy. The placement will run over a total of 16 weeks at 46.5 hours per week.
