The digital transformation of organizations and society is in full swing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing an increasing role in this. AI systems can used to automatically determine bank loan eligibility, for recognition of dangerous situations through image processing, for assessing medical needs. However, the use of AI also carries challenges, from biased implementations based on faulty data to losing understanding and control over complex systems. How do we ensure that Artificial Intelligence is used for the good of our organisatin in an informed low-risk fashon? The aim of this programme is to produce graduates in the field of Computing (Human Centred Artificial Intelligence Technologies) with (i) a systematic applied knowledge of the key issues around Human Centred Computing (including Ethics, Transparency, Trust), (ii) the ability to understand and participate in the design, development and deployment of AI solutions using current technologies in the field Artificial Intelligence and (iii) an understanding of where technologies fit into the business and technology strategies of organisations.

Graduates of this programme with be characterised by their (i) awareness of issues in respect of data provenance (ii) knowledge of international approaches and standards recommended and required for organisations using AI (iii) capability in respect of assessing existing AI systems for Ethicality, Transparency, Trustworthiness and Compliance (iv) familiar what organisations who wish to develop and integrate AI into their processes need to do to be ethically compliant (v) ability to risk assess existing and proposed AI processes in application.
