Hospitality

The major in Hospitality has been developed specifically for the Arts programme. It draws on a suite of well-established modules and principles which underpin the very successful degree programmes in TU Dublin.

Students will take a number of mandatory modules that will provide them with the foundational and key hospitality knowledge, attitudes and skills associated with this major. In addition, students can choose from a range of hospitality-related modules depending on their interests and various other commitments, which form this stream.

The range of modules on offer are designed to address all of the university graduate attributes including: People: Digitally capable, life-long learners, Planet: Sustainability-focused, global citizens, and, Partnership: Collaborative, real-world problem solvers.

The hospitality major supports the UEM principles in that it is entirely focused on the learner experience and offers strong learner support, learner choice and an enhanced learner experience.

UN sustainability goals (and also the TU Dublin strategic plan) are supported by educating students in sustainable people development, societal improvements, and environmental protection.

The degree to which these are supported will depend on the range of modules the student chooses.
