A specialist programme in music performance for 4th-6th year students considering an undergraduate degree in music performance
Overview
TU Dublin Conservatoire is delighted to offer a programme specifically designed for students in 4th-6th years considering an undergraduate degree in music performance in an orchestral or keyboard instrument. The programme would be ideal for a transition year student but is designed for entry in 5th and 6 year also, depending on audition.
Applicants are expected to have attained a high level of performance on their instrument. The objective of the programme is to challenge the student creatively through individual expert tuition, classes in performance and musicianship and ensemble playing, so that they can progress and achieve their true potential.

Audition
- Applicants are asked to prepare two contrasting pieces (two contrasting classical songs for singers) and may be asked to play scales/technical exercises and complete a sight-reading test (not for singers). There will also be an interview covering music education goals and ambitions.
- Students will be selected on the basis of music experience, interest, talent and potential for third-level performance education.

Please note: Students must re-audition each year to continue in Music Excellence Programme
Click here for Tuition Fees - The fee includes instrumental lessons, musicianship class, ensemble, chamber music, accompaniment and performance classes, as appropriate to the instrument.
If your application is received by 31st March, you will be given an audition in May/early June.
If your application is received after 31st March you may be charged a late application fee and you will be given an audition in late June.
