Law & Technology Poster Exhibition and Prize giving

On 21st March 2024 the school hosted a Law & Technology Poster Exhibition and Competition. Students from first to fourth year across law programmes created posters of their research into various aspects of Law Tech as part of their Law and Technology module led by Dr Anthony O’Dwyer. A shortlisted 25 were exhibited in the Atrium of the East Quad and prizes awarded for the best 5. Congratulations to the overall winner Aideen Walsh, a third year Business and Law student for her project on the use of the VALCRI system in police investigation. In second place was Sophie Sheridan a first year LLB student who researched remote hearings in the Irish Legal System. Sarah Jane Byrne, year 4 LLB with French was third with her project on Content ID and Copyright. Mathiew Domec and Emily Muntean, both first year LLB students received honourable mentions for their internationally focused work on Smart Courts in China and Facial Recognition in Moscow. Huge thanks to our judges Ailbhe Conway and Ultán Anderson from Ogier, Any Walsh BL and Mariana Verdes BL. The exhibition was made possible by funding from the TU Dublin Growthhub project.
