Dr Keith Nolan received his PhD in 2020 from the Department of Computer Science in Maynooth University. With 7 years experience in teaching and tutoring Computer Science in Maynooth University, Keith joined TU Dublin, Tallaght Campus in 2020 as an Assistant Lecturer in Computing. His primary area of teaching is Software Development, (CS1 and CS2: Python), Visual Design and User Experience (HTML and CSS) and Database Fundamentals.

Keith has a keen interest in supporting novice first year students in Computing. With first-year programming being perceived by students as hard, Keith is in the process of setting up a drop in service for first-year student to receive free tutoring in a peer-to-peer level with the hopes that it will increase student confidence.  He also has an interest in improving the mental health of first year students in Computing.
