Dr Lucas Rizzo is a PhD graduate from TU Dublin. Lucas' research focus is on Artificial Intelligence, more specifically automated reasoning and computational models of argument. Recently they have been working in the field of XAI, trying to enhance computational argumentation and other knowledge-based systems through the use of machine learning algorithms and data-driven models. Lucas has participated in a number of conferences and published several papers. Alongside research, Lucas is currently supervising master students in data analytics. They have lectured several modules for undergraduate and graduate students in computer science, such as Object Oriented Programming, NoSQL databases, and Working with Data (Python, R, and SQL for data wrangling). Lucas' biggest project is the web framework developed during my PhD research. It allows the creation of rules made of boolean logic for reasoning with numerical data. It is a tool aimed at producing numerical inferences based on knowledge bases gathered from human reasoners. They are also interested in operational research. Previously Lucas has worked as an optimisation analyst and performed research for the development of heuristics for computational hard problems.
