TU Dublin Building ESTeEM Tackle Climate Change

Published: 9 Nov, 2021

TU Dublin's unique mentorship programme for female students ESTeEM, which aims to address gender inequality in Engineering, IT, and Apprenticeships, hosted its first webinar of the year focusing on Climate Change and Sustainability.

A panel of experts joined Building ESTeEM last month to discuss how their prospective organisations are addressing climate change and embedding sustainability throughout their work. The event explored the relationship between climate change and sustainability, what impact these areas could have on education and training, and how climate change and sustainability should influence career prospects for the students in the audience.

Panellists include:

  • Joan Byrne, Workhuman, Director Customer Support & Launch at Workhuman
  • Matt Kennedy, Associate Director for Arup Ireland’s Carbon and Climate Change Team
  • Luke O’Mahony, Operational Visibility and Mapping Technology Lead for ESB
  • Anita Varshney, SAP, Global Vice President, Strategy SAP S/4HANA Sustainability

The next webinar will take place on YouTube on Thursday, 2 December 2021.
