The overall aim of the BA Hospitality Management Studies is to prepare learners academically and professionally leading to employment at management level in the dynamic world of the hospitality industry. This is achieved through a comprehensive programme designed to be challenging and fulfilling in an environment which focuses on the individual learner as an active participant in his/her own learning.

Applicants must be currently working in the broader hospitality industry for a period of at least one year full-time prior to acceptance onto this part-time programme. Students below the age of 23 must hold a Leaving Certificate, or equivalent, with ordinary level maths.

Mature students (over 23) who do not meet the minimum educational requirements may apply and can gain entry to the course based on their relevant industry experience.

Career opportunities are almost limitless in hotels, food and tourism enterprises worldwide. Graduates are trained professionals with sound operational work experience and a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry. As such, they are in demand by a large cross section of the industry from general and operational management within the tourism industry, to more specialised areas. Career opportunities in this sector include marketing and sales, HRM, food and beverage management, rooms division management, and conferencing management in Ireland and abroad. In addition, graduates may progress to a variety of postgraduate courses in a range of disciplines.

Online & face-to face delivery (every 4 weeks), Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm-10pm.
