Taken from a letter written by Richard Wagner to Franz Liszt in 1854, ‘that most beautiful of dreams’ refers to what the author believed to be ‘the real happiness of love’, his inspiration for composing the operatic masterpiece, Tristan und Isolde. Join the TU Dublin Philharmonic on February 15th for an evening of some of the greatest romantic music composed during the second half of the 19th century.
