GLAS at TU Dublin Pumpkin patch
Looking to visit a pumpkin patch on the lead up to Halloween (Oíche Shamhna) this October? Global Action Plan's GLAS at TU Dublin has you covered! Students are back to campus and the sun is shining. Feel inspired, connect with nature and get some fresh air in between classes; visit Head Gardener Lee Geoghegan at the GLAS at TU Dublin community garden on the Blanchardstown campus.
Volunteers and community groups have worked throughout the summer on growing a bursting variety of juicy tomatoes in the poly tunnel, as well as vegetables, herbs and salads in beds and planters.
Lee recently hosted a composting workshop where participants learned how to turn household organic waste and garden clippings into compost for soil. The garden has an excellent hand made compost system where brown and green waste is recycled into the garden to nourish plants and crops.
