TU Dublin Choral Society will perform Cesar Franck Mass in A major Op. 12 in the Concert Hall at Grangegorman on April 30th.

This work, rich in melodic and polyphonic writing, received great acclaim at its premiere in the Basilica of St. Clotilde in Paris. It is best known today for the gently lyrical solo movement “Panis Angelicus”.
Originally for large orchestra, the Choral Society will perform Franck’s later chamber arrangement of the Mass and will include harp, cello and piano.
