Pablo Barragán
Passionate and adventurous, both in performance and in his approach to programming, Pablo Barragán is considered one of the world’s leading clarinetists.
Born in Andalusia, Barragán trained at the Seville Conservatory and the Fundación Barenboim-Said, Seville before joining Maestro Daniel Barenboim’s West-Eastern Divan Orchestra in 2007.
He has received many prestigious awards as his career has gone from strength to strength, most notably Juventudes Musicales de España, the European Music Competition for Youth, ARD Music Competition and Prix Crédit Suisse Jeunes Solistes, which led to him making his solo debut at the Lucerne Festival.
Since 2020, Pablo Barragán has been a professor at the Barenboim-Said Academy in Seville.
