Exams

The Junior Conservatoire has its own grade examining curriculum, divided into 4 cycles as follows.

Junior Cycle (Initial, Primary, Grade 1, Grade 2)

Intermediate Cycle; (Grades 3,4,5)

Senior Cycle (Grades 6,7,8)

Advanced Cycle (Advanced Level 1 and 2)

Exams take place in early December each year

 

Exam requirements for 3rd-Level students can be found in the relevant Programme Document (BMus, BMusEd, MMus).

BMus -Part 1 examinations (technical) take place in January  and Part 2 (Recital exams) take place in May. All recital exams on this programme are open to the public.

BMus Ed - recital exams take place in May. Final year performance majors are open to the piblic.

MMus - Lecture-recitals take place in February and Recital exams take place in May. All open to the public.

DMus - recital exams take places at various times during the year. All open to the public.
