The Orchestral Department presents regular chamber music and ensemble concerts in the Gleeson Theatre, DIT Kevin Street and the National Concert Hall.  Recent highlights include:

Competitions

DIT Competitions take place in March and students are also prepared for external competitions, such as the Feis Ceoil.  

Professional Collaborations

The Orchestral Department has fostered professional collaborations with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, RTÉ Symphony Orchestra, Irish Baroque Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Concorde, Contemporary Music Centre, Creative Connexions Festival, Galway Music Residency, Music Network, Music Generation, National Concert Hall, Royal Dublin Society Concert Series and Boyle Arts Festival.
