Architectural Technologist, Lecturer and PhD candidate

Davitt has recently joined the School of Architecture, Building and Environment as a fulltime lecturer and is pursuing a PhD in the area of Building Information Modelling.

Before joining the School of Architecture, Building and Environment, Davitt worked as an Architectural Technologist & BIM Coordinator for C+W O’Brien Architects. Working as a technical designer in multidisciplinary and collaborative design teams, his role involved the integration of architectural and construction technologies in the building design process.

Davitt completed the TU831 BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology and the TU415 MSc in applied Building Information Modelling & Management, both from TU Dublin. He also completed an Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit Architecture.

He also have a keen interest in Design Technology and is a member of the Construction IT Alliance, the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland and the Institute of Designers in Ireland. He has presented at both the Revit & Dynamo Users Ireland Group and the CitA Digital Transition Series.
