Research project management takes a lot of time especially if there are a large number of partners.

If the funding allows it, budget for a full-time or part-time research project manager. Never under-estimate the amount of time you will need to manage deliverables, milestones, meetings and reports as well as the finance administration tasks;
If you would prefer to take on this role, you could budget for funded teaching replacement if the funder allows it;
