English Language Requirements
If English is not your first language, you will have to be able to read and write English to a certain level in order to apply to TU Dublin.
Applicants whose first language is not English may be required to provide evidence of English language proficiency. The following English language proficiency tests and results are acceptable for most programmes. The certificate of your English language standard must have been issued within 2 years of the expected start of your course.
We are now accepting the following tests for January & September 2021 programmes:
IELTS Indicator Test The minimum score is 6 unless otherwise stated. Please be aware that some programmes require a higher score. Details can be found on individual programme pages.
TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition The minimum score is 92 unless otherwise stated. Please be aware that some programmes require a higher score. Details can be found on individual programme pages.
Duolingo English Test The minimum score required is 95 unless stated otherwise. Please be aware that some programmes require a higher score. Details can be found on individual programme pages.
In addition, applicants must meet the other TU Dublin specific requirements for the particular programme(s) applied for (Maths, Science etc.).

British version of the OIB: C1 or C2 on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
