Advancing Research

Philanthropy plays a crucial role in advancing research at TU Dublin, directly supporting our mission to drive societal change. By fostering a collaborative environment, philanthropic partnerships enable us to work with external experts, ensuring our research is grounded in real-world needs. This collaboration is key to translating new knowledge into tangible benefits for the economy and society. Through strategic philanthropic investment, we can enhance the volume and impact of our research in key priority areas, ultimately creating a lasting and positive influence on our community and beyond.

TU Dublin is dedicated to fostering innovation and establishing industry leadership through strategic investment in research chair positions. Our appointment in 2024 of the Workday Chair in Technology and Society was the first of its kind at any technological university in Ireland. Our objectives in this area include promoting groundbreaking research, enhancing collaboration between academia and industry, and bolstering Ireland’s global competitiveness.
